A dwarven Sulterlander living in Svitansk and working at the prestigious architectural college there, as an instructor specializing in stone structural design. Elbert is fond of the chicken & beer stew often available in the college’s communal dining room at lunch. Elbert is responsible for the design of one of the smaller long-standing bridges in Kirupilov. He has been a professor at the college for many years.
When traveling, Borst leaves behind his professor’s robes and wears buckskin trousers, a light shirt that buttons up the front, a very wide belt with an ornate brass buckle displaying a stylized dwarf face with braided beard, a sturdy hempen cloak, and a floppy bright green hat.
Borst accompanied the PCs on a trip up the Blackwash River. Initially set out as a mission to survey the old Pinrose Quarry, once the party had made its way up the river, Borst revealed that the actual intent was to seek out a much older silver mine, farther north from Svitansk. Abandoned around a hundred years ago or so, the mine is on land not claimed by one of the great houses.
